Digital Albums/Products

Introducing theconneXtion Digital Albums! A digital album is a zip file containing a set of MP3 files and a JPG of the cover image for the album. Since all digital products on this site are distributed electronically, there are no refunds for erroneous purchases or downloads.

Tell me more about the MP3’s

The MP3’s are extremely high quality, with a bit rate of 320 kbps. These MP3 files are DRM free, and should play on any device that can currently handle MP3 files. The file size of the MP3 is highly dependent upon the length of the song, but typically they are about 2-3MB per minute of music, much higher than typical, lower quality downloads at other sites.

How do I get my digital albums?

After you finish the checkout process, you will immediately be able to download your digital albums from the Thank You page and you will also be sent an email with a link to download the file.

How do I open a digital album?

The digital albums are “zipped up” in a “.zip” file, so that they are easier to download and manage.

On most Windows computers (XP, Vista, 7,8,10), you can open the “zip file” just by double-clicking on it. If that does not work, you may need to right click on the file, then click “Extract All,” at which point you’ll be able to drag and drop the files to your device or music library of choice.

To unzip files on a mac, follow the steps below:

  1. Double click the zipped file.
  2. The file will automatically be decompressed by Archive Utility into the same folder the compressed file is in.
  3. Access the extracted files by clicking the appropriate icons.

Alternatively, you can use any zip program to open the zip file, such as WinZip for Mac/PC or WinRAR for the PC.

Remember, you will not be able to access your content until it has been ‘unzipped.’ Once you are in the ‘unzipped’ window, you will need to copy the files, to another place on your computer.  You wont be able to open the files, from the ‘unzip’ window.

Although you shouldn’t have any problem downloading/unzipping/playing these files on an Android-based phone or tablet, currently, it is impossible or difficult to download these files to an iOS iPad iPhone. You can download the file to a PC or Mac computer then transfer the file to iPad/iPhone, but it has to be through a PC or Mac first.
